We're looking for a CNC Setter/Operator to join our Team

You will be responsible for setting and running quality parts on CNC machines. You will need to be able to multitask across a number of machines and be proactive to ensure components meet specifications and are in accordance to engineering drawings.. Your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions will contribute significantly to our operational success.

Main areas of responsibility are as follows, but are not limited to:
Operation and setting of machinery, CNC machining centres and CNC lathes, to facilitate the manufacture of components as required.
Complete relevant 'start-up' & 'close-down' processes, as identified within the department.
Ensure parts are produced in line with quality procedures and correct to engineering drawings, and ensure that if any defects are identified they are segregated from the batch and the relevant non-conformance procedure is followed.
Ensure raw materials used are from the correct batch, and all batches and quantities used are correctly recorded to meet traceability requirement.
Ensure that products are produced in a timely fashion in order to meet the production schedule and to satisfy customer on time delivery performance.
On a daily basis, ensure all completed work is recorded accurately on the ERP system, and all relevant documents are completed, and parts are processed into the next department.
Be proactive in ensuring work has all necessary tooling to avoid downtime.
Work with CNC Team Leader and QA personnel on addressing any issues and supporting continuous improvement actions.
Ensure stock counts remain accurate and take part in stock takes as required.
Maintain effective communication regarding any issues or machine breakdowns with the Team Leader, Production Manager and Maintenance Team.
Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies, and ensure any health and safety concerns and/or issues are communicated to the CNC Team Leader or Production Manager.
Carry out any other reasonable request, as and when required.

Experience
A minimum of 2 years experience setting and operating CNC machines.
Experience in using relevant gauges and measuring equipment, to ensure parts meet required quality standards.

Strong attention to detail.
Working Hours:
Full time contract working 39 hours per week, over 4.5 days Monday to Friday (half day on Friday).
This role is joining our 2nd shift, the standard working hours are Monday - Thursday 16.00 - 01.00 and Friday 12.00 - 17.00.
