Cnc Setter/programmer/operator 5 Days Per Week/early Shift

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within our Machine Shop team for a CNC Setter/Programmer/Operator.

The purpose of the role is to support the Manufacturing Team Leader in the execution of the production plan for the department ensuring that high quality components are produced that meet the expectations of James Heal Customers. To be responsible for producing high quality work in all areas of responsibility and in line with the James Heal Company Values, work proactively and collaboratively with all colleagues and interested parties to ensure that we create a workplace culture that makes James Heal a great place to work

Key accountabilities



To fully complete the daily production plan in terms of quality, quantity and on time delivery. To consistently produce components to the correct quality and timescales. Responsible for creating and/or editing CNC programs as required. To follow all Health and Safety policies and procedures. To follow all relevant manufacturing procedures applicable to the process being carried out. To be able to set and operate 3-axis HAAS Mills(VF3,VF3S,VF4S,VM3) and lathes(T1,T15) and ideally with experience on 5-axis DMG Mori Turn/Mills. To resolve CNC program queries and make use of the skills of other personnel to help solve these queries. Ensure that CNC programs are correctly titled and saved onto the Cimco system and that all relevant data is included for future reference. Contribute to any projects, improvement initiatives or prototype developments as required. To undertake any other relevant tasks as requested by management.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience of working in a precision manufacturing role in a machining environment. Ideally experience of working in a position with responsibility for CNC programming is preferable. Proven experience of programming CNC machines The ideal candidate will be apprentice trained in an Engineering discipline of equivalent level of experience is essential
We offer a great working environment , 38 hours per week,

Working hours are

Monday - Friday shift - 6am - 14.15pm

10% shift premium is paid

25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
