Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at operating XYZ Prototrak CNC lathes to produce precision components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, the ability to interpret technical drawings, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in production.

Duties

Operate XYZ CNC Lathe to machine components according to specifications. Perform materials handling tasks, including loading and unloading materials from machines. Read and interpret technical drawings. Ability to precisly measure componenets. Conduct basic maths calculations for measurements and adjustments during the machining process. Manage tooling requirements, ensuring tools are maintained and replaced as necessary. Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and improve efficiency. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating manual & CNC machinery. Previous experiance using XYZ Prototrak CNC lathes is preferable. Strong understanding of tooling techniques and materials handling practices. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when required. Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work. Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
