CNC Lathe / Mill-Turn Machinist - Aerospace Engineering

You'll be working in a clean, modern facility as part of a friendly and skilled team, focusing on small-to-medium batch production of complex, high-precision aerospace parts. This role specifically involves leading the Mill/Turn team, utilising the latest CMZ Mill/Turn technology to support new product development and manufacturing methods.

What You'll Be Doing

Develop manufacturing methods for new and existing aerospace parts in collaboration with Planning and Quality teams. Program, set, and operate CNC Lathe or Mill/Turn machines (CMZ & Takisawa with Fanuc controls). Work with tight tolerances: typically 0.025mm, occasionally 0.0125mm. Record accurate job times in the ERP system (Javelin). Maintain a clean, organised workspace to 6S standards. Continuously seek and implement improvements in machining processes.

What We're Looking For

Aerospace or similar precision manufacturing experience. Skilled in offline programming and operation of Mill/Turn and CNC Turning machines. Familiar with a range of materials including stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, aluminium, and nylon. Apprentice-trained or equivalent experience; EdgeCam experience is a bonus.
