We are seeking an experienced CNC Turner with a strong background in operating and programming Siemens control systems to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes, producing high-precision components from various materials, including exotic alloys, stainless steel, and aluminium. This role requires a precise individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:



Set up and operate CNC lathes with Siemens control systems. Interpret and work from engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to specified tolerances. Program CNC lathes using Siemens controls, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision. Utilise offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and optimise machining processes. Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any technical issues. Conduct first-off inspection and verify the accuracy of machined parts using precision measurement tools. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all components meet strict quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance machining processes and efficiencies.

Qualifications and Experience:



Minimum of

5 years of experience

as a CNC Turner in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in programming and operating CNC lathes with Siemens controls. Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloys. Experience with offline programming, particularly using Alphacam, is highly advantageous. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models. Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
