Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled rail replacement coach Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and have experience in delivering goods or services. As a Bus Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while ensuring a high level of customer service and adherence to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Weekend work + Monday

Safely operate the bus, ensuring the safe transport of passengers to various locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain a clean and organised bus interior for passenger comfort. Communicate effectively with passengers regarding routes, schedules, and any changes that may occur. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of all passengers and other road users. Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from the bus, providing support as needed. Keep accurate records of daily trips, including mileage and passenger counts. Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle reliability.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for bus operation. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues and perform minor repairs if necessary. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members. Experience in warehouse operations is a plus, particularly in understanding logistics and transport processes. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or late evenings as required by the schedule. A positive attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional service to all passengers.
