We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual to take up this exciting opportunity to join the Beacons business team.

Beacons Sports is a thriving, growing netball business founded in 2008 to give young players the opportunity to develop their skills, confidence and love of the game.

We now run weekly netball academies across Dulwich and Lewisham, alongside school holiday camps, workshops, festivals and tours. We also operate Beacons Netball Club, our competitive arm with squads competing in local, county, regional and national competitions. We are a friendly, fun, dedicated and focused team looking to welcome a new member to join the business.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised and proactive person to take ownership of the smooth running of our coaching workforce and some ongoing academy logistics. There will be the opportunity to be involved in many areas of the business, take on responsibility and be part of up-coming projects.

This is a pivotal role at the heart of the business. You will be responsible for ensuring that every Beacons academy, camp and event is fully staffed and professionally delivered, while building strong, positive relationships with our coaching team.

This is a flexible, hybrid role (home and office in Orpington), with some on-site presence required at key academy and camp start dates.

Key Responsibilities



Coach Management & Relationships


Be the main point of contact for all Beacons coaches

Build strong, supportive relationships with coaches, understanding their availability, preferences and development needs

Lead coach inductions and onboarding for new starters

Maintain up-to-date records for DBS, safeguarding and qualifications

Recruit new coaches in line with business growth

Provide weekly updates to coaches on schedules, changes and upcoming work

Scheduling & Planning


Plan and manage all weekly academy staffing schedules

Create advanced term-time and holiday camp staffing plans

Adapt quickly to last-minute coach changes, sourcing replacements to ensure sessions always go ahead

Manage cover requests, sickness and emergency changes calmly and efficiently

Academy & Camp Operations


Work with our operations manager to ensure every venue has the correct equipment in place and starter packs before term starts and for all camps

Be on-site at the start of each term and at the start of holiday camps to:

Welcome players and families

Support with set up, registrations and admin queries

Finance & Admin


Check and approve monthly coach timesheets and invoices

Liaise with the finance team to resolve any discrepancies

Maintain accurate, confidential records of coach data

Skills Required

Excellent organisation and communication skills

Strong scheduling and resource-planning ability

Ability to manage multiple tasks/ deadlines.

People focused- building relationships with coaches

Confidence handling last-minute changes and pressure

Self motivated and use initiative/ be proactive

Tech savvy to use spreadsheets, learn other specific

software.

Experience in sport, coaching or youth activities is a bonus, but not essential. The right personality, organisation and attitude matter most.

A strong respect for data protection and confidentiality

About Us

Beacons Sports was formed in 2008 to give young players the opportunity to progress and learn more about the sport and encourage them to continue playing throughout life. Since then Beacons has grown from strength to strength and we now have 7 Academies running in Dulwich and Lewisham for players year 2 to year 9+ and regular school holiday day camps and workshops.

We also have several competitive squads in our club with a strong presence in local & county leagues, regional and national competitions. Therefore offering squad opportunities across junior, intermediate and senior levels.
Our back office team work flexibly and alternate between working from home and at our office situated in the Orpington area.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 9,200.00-12,400.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 - 16 per week
