Job Summary

Coding Camp Instructor - Techy Coders

Main Duties Include:

Lead or assist in the preparation and delivery of fun, engaging, and educational coding sessions. Teach a range of tech topics including: Game design using MakeCode Arcade Minecraft Education Edition Kodu Game Lab Introductory Robotics App development basics using code.org/APP LAB Deliver lessons primarily using

block-based coding platforms

, suitable for beginner to intermediate level learners. Ensure all children are engaged, supported, and having fun in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Supervise and guide students throughout the day, maintaining high standards of safety and wellbeing. Welcome children and parents in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Encourage creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among students.

Resources & Training:

Full teaching resources and lesson plans are provided. Instructors are expected to review and become familiar with materials ahead of delivery. Training and support will be provided to build confidence in any areas of weakness.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Understanding of core coding concepts. A positive attitude and passion for working with children. Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering a high-quality learning experience. Willingness to learn new tech platforms (if necessary).

Desirable:

Previous experience teaching or working with children. Knowledge of any of the platforms used within the camp (MakeCode Arcade, Kodu, Minecraft, robotics, App Lab). DBS certification (If not, we will process one for you). First Aid certification. Background in computer science, education, or related field.

Job Types:

Temporary contract, Zero hours contract, Part-time, Fixed term contract

Salary:

125.00-150.00 per day
