Job Purpose

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Coffee Shop Casual. The ideal candidate will have barista training or experience working in a food and beverage outlet, a genuine passion for the industry, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Food and Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve hot beverages, including espresso, latte, flat white, tea, and hot chocolate. Prepare and serve hot and cold foods, ensuring quality and presentation meet standards. Wrap, label, and date food items as required.

Customer Experience

Describe menu items to customers and upsell where appropriate. Build strong relationships with customers to foster a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.

Operational Duties

Open and close the coffee shop as required. Maintain accurate records of food and equipment temperatures. Follow and enforce all health and food safety measures.

Health & Safety

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining relevant documentation. Report incidents, accidents, or hazards promptly. Complete and review risk assessments for the department.

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience in a fast-paced, customer-facing role within the food and beverage industry. Barista training or equivalent experience with food preparation and cooking. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong communication and leadership skills, with experience in training and supervising staff.
