Role 1: 5 days per week, including 1 weekend day. Role 2: 4 days per week, including 1 weekend day.

Pay:

8.60 - 11.44 per hour, rising with service.

Role Overview

As a

Coffee Shop Assistant

, you will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of our busy coffee shop. You'll contribute to an exceptional dining experience by preparing and serving food and drinks, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation and Service

Prepare, display, and restock food and beverages, following recipes and allergy guidelines. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a polite and friendly demeanor. Minimise wastage and accurately complete all necessary documentation.

Hygiene and Safety

Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen, seating areas, and work spaces to meet 5-star hygiene standards. Complete temperature checks and report any issues to management. Adhere to all food safety regulations, COSHH guidelines, and wear appropriate PPE.

Customer Interaction

Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers to ensure their satisfaction. Respond sensitively and effectively to customer queries and complaints. Promote Gordale's loyalty card to enhance the customer experience.

General Duties

Operate tills accurately and efficiently. Ensure stock is correctly priced, attractively displayed, and rotated regularly. Assist with receiving deliveries, checking stock accuracy, and completing documentation. Ensure the seating area is clean, tidy, and well-stocked with crockery and utensils.
