Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Assistant to join our vibrant team at Ori Caffe within the John Lewis Store at Liverpool One Shopping Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the daily operations of our coffee shop. Your passion for food and hospitality will help create a welcoming environment for our customers, ensuring they enjoy their experience with us.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, providing recommendations as needed. Prepare and serve a variety of beverages and food items, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee shop, including the dining area and preparation stations. Assist in food preparation and catering tasks as required, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste. Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Uphold the highest standards of hospitality, ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Skills in food preparation or bartending would be advantageous. Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for interacting with customers. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required by the role.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: 7.50-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 40 per week
