About us

BATA was established as a farmers' cooperative in 1894 at Brandsby, North Yorkshire, 10 miles north of York. Today we are still an agricultural supply cooperative with 4,000 share members. We offer a wide range of products, including bulk and bagged animal feeds, pet foods, heating oil, LPG, timber, fencing, horse rugs, seeds, or fertiliser, to name just a few.

About the role

We are looking for someone who is confident, positive and will deliver excellent customer service to join our team at Brandsby's Coffee Shop!

The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, and able to work weekends when needed. We are looking for a candidate who is outgoing, can work within a small team and is enthusiastic about taking on a new challenge.

A catering or hospitality background isn't essential, barista experience would be an advantage however full training will be provided.

Day to day duties would include:

Providing exceptional customer service. Making and serving coffees and other hot and cold drinks Food preparation Stock Control Keeping all areas clean and tidy Opening and closure procedures
In addition to the above, the post holder will be expected to carry out any reasonable task which falls within the scope and purpose of the post, or which the Company deems is within their capabilities.
