Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our new team at Ori Caffe Within the John Lewis Store Southampton. The ideal candidate will have a love for coffee and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, ensuring food safety standards are met, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and tea beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including equipment and utensils. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and serving. Assist in the preparation of light snacks or pastries as required. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any queries or concerns. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during peak hours. Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills for processing payments.

Skills

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Basic food preparation skills to assist in creating menu items. Proficient in basic math for handling cash transactions and providing change. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
