Job Description

Applications are invited from both internal and external candidates to apply for the position of Cold End Technical Supervisor at Irvine plant, reporting directly to the Cold End Engineering Manager.



This position is an executive role and affords an excellent career opportunity for anyone with the determination and capability to succeed.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and oversee the progress of job changes that take place in the cold end, responding to any mechanical problems that occur to minimise downtime.

Prioritise work and delegate tasks to members of the cold end engineering department in order that necessary tasks are carried out.

Determine what planned maintenance work requires to be carried out when there is a job change in order to minimise the chance of the occurrence of engineering problems.

Maintain clear communications with plant management and other departments to optimise production efficiency.

Identify opportunities and make recommendations to develop procedures to bring about continuous improvement.

Required skills / qualifications:

Qualified, time served engineer.

Educated to HND or degree level in a relevant discipline

Ideally have worked in a process environment

Knowledge of PLC systems

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A good understanding of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Tools and Continuous improvement.

Awareness of relevant Health & Safety and Hygiene Regulations

Good people management skills
