As a Collaboration Manager within the Collaborations Team, you will lead the development and management of strategic multi-stakeholder partnerships that address cross-cutting barriers to the growth and accessibility of cell and gene therapies (CGTs). Unlike traditional business development roles focused on single-client engagements, this role is aimed at convening diverse organisations to solve common industry bottlenecks and deliver system-wide impact.

You will work collaboratively across the Catapult's capabilities and with external stakeholders to identify shared industry challenges, co-create consortia, and deliver collaborative projects that advance patient access, evidence generation, and health system readiness.###

Key Responsibilities





As part of an extended team the Collaborations Manager will;Build and manage a pipeline of strategic collaborative initiatives to improve CGT access, with a focus on regulatory, HTA and clinical delivery Engage with stakeholders across regulators, payers, healthcare providers, academia, and industry to define common needs and shape project proposals Design, structure, and operationalise new multi-partner collaborations, including scope, partner roles, governance, timelines and budgets Develop and maintain strong working relationships with collaborators to ensure delivery and alignment of shared objectives Maintain high-quality records of collaboration activity and outputs, including project trackers, meeting notes, and partner updates Disseminate learning and best practices from collaborations across CGT Catapult and the wider ecosystem Represent CGT Catapult and promote collaboration opportunities at relevant industry meetings, roundtables and conferences Provide subject matter insight to the Collaborations and wider BD teams on the CGT access landscape Support CGT Catapult's thought leadership on sustainable and equitable access to CGTs in the UK and globally Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g. Regulatory, Clinical Adoption, Health Economics, Manufacturing, Skills) to align collaborative activities with strategic priorities Support the wider BD team to grow the depth of CGT Catapult interactions across all delivery teams at all CGT Catapult sites with these key accounts and regularly update line manager on the aims, status, threats and opportunities Identify opportunities for CR&D and commercial projects involving various CGT Catapult delivery teams at any site with the Collaborators manufacturing with us Any other such duties as are reasonable for the successful delivery of the CGT Catapult's mission

Experience:

Experience working in a clinical delivery, regulatory affairs, market access, health economics or health policy environment Experience working in a cross-functional or matrix team structure Proven track record of managing partnerships, alliances or collaborative programmes involving multiple organisations Experience working with or alongside the NHS, NICE, MHRA or equivalent international bodies Experience in the advanced therapies or biotechnology sector

Highly motivated, pragmatic and practical with a passion for improving patient access to innovation Developed and maintained a wide professional network across the UK Demonstrated strong technical expertise and awareness of CGT applications Understanding of UK health technology assessment and reimbursement processes Awareness of global CGT market dynamics and access challenges Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and emotional intelligence Able to establish credibility and build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders Excellent planning, organisational, and prioritisation skills with strong attention to detail Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a commitment to shared goals and mutual success Flexible and resilient, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast-paced environment Able to work independently and take initiative when completing tasks Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and diplomacy skills Proven ability to engage constructively with colleagues at all levels across different departments to deliver objectives and to respond to a wide range of customer and management needs Enthusiastic about CGT Catapult's mission to grow the cell and gene therapy sector in the UK Keeps up to date with professional knowledge, expertise and best practice Willingness to travel

Education / Qualifications

BSc hons in relevant life science or equivalent experience
