Job Overview

We currently have a

part time

vacancy for a collection and delivery driver covering the Hertfordshire area.

The job will entail the collection and delivery of parcels from our customers on a set route each day. This is a busy route and will involve a high number of stops and the lifting/loading of numerous parcels will be involved too.

The hours are from 12:30 to 17.30 Monday to Thursday then 12pm - 5:30pm on Fridays.

The successful applicant will need to possess the following attributes;

Responsibilities

Safely operate a delivery van to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload items, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage. Communicate effectively with office staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking and reporting any discrepancies. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Qualifications

Valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience as a van driver is preferred. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, with a focus on safety practices. Previous experience in a delivery driver role or commercial driving is advantageous but not essential. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and customer service.

Pay: 12.21 per hour
