Are you an experienced Collection professional looking to lead a team towards success?

Our business continues to evolve, and we are now seeking a Collections Team Lead to join Financial Services and help shape this brand-new team! As a Collections Team Lead, you will play a critical role in managing and motivating our collections team to deliver a great outcome for the customer and our clients, while maintaining the highest level of customer service. You will lead by example, using your expertise to develop strategies for efficient debt recovery and provide guidance to team members. This is unique opportunity to support the build and growth of this team and make your mark.
This role is based from our Stockton-on-Tees hub, 2-3 days a week required in the office after training, 7.5 hours a day between 8am-6pm.

What you\'ll be doing?

  • Lead and mentor a team of Collections Agents, providing ongoing coaching and support
  • Review and maintenance of collection rates, strategies and outcomes; working to improve recovery rates through changes and improvements to process
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies, always considering the well-being of our customers
  • Raise any issues of service incidents in a timely manner to make sure senior management are informed and ensuring incidents are investigated
  • Manage own schedule and team work to required timescales and to achieve performance targets
  • Make sure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
  • Provide regular feedback to team members and conduct performance reviews
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment that values the well-being of team members
  • Comply with regulatory requirements where applicable, including the FCA Consumer Duty by striving to delivery good outcomes for our clients customers
What you\'ll bring:
  • Proven experience in Order to Cash, Accounts Receivable or Debt Management, with experience in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to handle difficult conversations effectively
  • Results-oriented mindset
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities, to strict deadlines and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and clients
  • Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
It would be great if you had:
  • Experience of working within a multi-client environment
  • Experience of working in a Financial Services or FCA regulated environment
  • Experience of using Sage as a Finance ERP
  • ICM OR AAT qualification
