ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an Engineer to join our prestigious Mulliner function. Reporting to the Functional Manager- Mulliner Motorsport and Technical, the Engineer will be responsible for delivering Engineering systems and components to meet the requirements of Mulliner features for Collections, Editions and PCG (Personal Commissioning Guide). The role offers an excellent opportunity for a creative engineer to be directly involved in specialist features that are driven by customer demand. You will be responsible for the specification, validation and release to achieve cost, weight, timing and quality targets for a variance of specialist features in the Mulliner range.

Bentley Mulliner is renowned throughout the automotive world for crafting some of the most individual Bentleys ever created. Bentley Mulliner is the birthplace of coachbuilding - the oldest automotive coachbuilder in the world. Bentley Mulliner operates as a Division within Bentley and has three distinct product offerings Coachbuilt , Classic and Collections.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support and lead design development for specialist bespoke Mulliner features
  • Delivery of projects
  • Problem solving
  • Developing and maintaining specialist knowledge
  • Identifying engineering solutions to meet project requirements, seeking sustainable innovation solutions to create features that can be developed for low volume and high value
  • Management and delivery of features from concept through to release
About the Person

The successful candidate will be in an Engineering role looking to utilise their skills in a different capacity. You will have good communication and influencing skills that enable effective cross functional working across the business as well as external suppliers. You will have an appreciation of customer requirements and a flair for innovation to meet progressive market demands. You will ideally have combined experience in design and development, test and measurement, engineering drawings (CAD/Catia) and software tools.

You will demonstrate:
  • Experience of delivering a feature, or variety of features to mainstream production
  • Broad experience of component type development in different technical disciplines
  • Design and development skills
  • Proficient understanding of PEP (Product Emergence Processes)
