We are excited to be recruiting a

committed and proactive College Ambassador

to join our Student Services team, reporting to the Head of Centre. This

part-time role (0.7 FTE)

is

fixed term for the duration of the academic year

and is

term time only (36 working weeks)

. It offers an excellent opportunity to play an active role in promoting a safe, positive, and supportive environment for our students throughout the College.

Key Responsibilities





As a College Ambassador, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and secure atmosphere across the College campus and surrounding areas. You'll help ensure that all learners feel safe and supported by patrolling key locations, including campus grounds and nearby transport hubs.Play an active role in promoting safety and wellbeing across the College. Patrol key areas such as campus grounds and nearby transport hubs. Act as a visible and approachable presence for students. Encourage positive behaviour and promote respect in line with the College's values. Monitor conduct and address issues as they arise. Help maintain a calm and orderly environment where students can focus on learning. Work mainly outdoors during peak times such as breaks, lunchtimes, and at the end of the day. Support safe travel for students to and from local transport links.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





The Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, ideally with some previous experience, and the ability to manage challenging situations calmly and effectively. Previous experience in education, youth work, customer service, or security would be advantageous, though not essential. Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine commitment to the welfare, safety, and success of our students, along with the ability to represent the College positively within the wider community.
