Job Description

The Specialist Nurse is a role integral to the ongoing development of the Colorectal/Stoma service.



The overall purpose of the role is to strategically plan, implement and evaluate the Colorectal/Stoma service in conjunction with local and national guidance, ensuring that the views of staff and patients are incorporated in the development of the strategic direction of the service.



The Specialist Nurse will have a key role in the continuing development of the colorectal and stoma service for patients with cancer and colorectal problems.



To work autonomously, but complementary to, the surgical team in managing the care of patients with colorectal disease.
