Position Overview

In a very dynamic and exciting time for the Operational Pricing Team, the role will help deliver robust commercial business outcomes that enhance both internal and external customer relationships. This position will be of interest to employees who have already identified their next role as being in a commercially orientated environment, or who have worked in other functions within the pharmaceutical industry.

Key Activities:

Commercial and Business Development

  • Identify and engage with key external & internal stakeholders and organisations
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the UK commercial environment
  • Work cross-functionally to support appropriate pricing implementation tactics
  • Liaise with Supply Chain to ensure continuity of supply for the company\xe2\x80\x99s product portfolio
  • Develop and manage all relevant commercial arrangements with customers
  • Identify and maximise any appropriate opportunities for our products
Pricing and Tenders
  • Inform and implement pricing strategies and processes with relevant Franchise Leads
  • Work with Senior Contracts Coordinator to ensure accurate databases of all product prices are maintained and to understand/support the submission process for tendering in the UK
  • Work cross functionally with the Commercial Account Managers and other functions to ensure approval and implementation of all prices and price amendments
  • Verify relevant rebate claims from third-party claimants and work with Commercial Analyst
Business Operations
  • Work in close relationship with Strategic Pricing, Finance, Regulatory, Franchises, and Global
  • Support and deliver organisational and VAD objectives
  • Operate at all times with the highest level of integrity and conduct all activities in compliance with company policies, PMCPA Code of Practice and MHRA guidance.
Job dimensions
  • This post will require be office based on average 2/3 days per week to both attend and chair internal/external meetings.
Minimum Experience Preferred
  • Previous experience in a Marketing, Sales or Finance role and/or previous account management experience in developing and maintaining customer relationships
  • Alternatively, this position may be suitable as a developmental role for individuals with a keen interest in excelling in the pharmaceutical commercial arena
