As our Commercial Administrator you will be responsible for supporting the Commercial and Operational Teams with any tasks relating to commercial and contractual administration. You will ensure the smooth management of sub-contractor applications, cost controls and project financials; whilst upholding all company policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing administration support to the Quantity Surveying and Operational Teams relating to commercial and contractual issues
Reviewing Sub-Contractor applications and allowances on variation accounts
Ensuring allowances within Sub-Contract orders for payments
Producing and managing Monthly Cost Control Reports to the project teams in a timely manner, ensuring information is accurate and challenging the team once returned
Attending the Monthly Project Commercial Reviews
Liaising between Procurement and Accounts to support the resolution of any invoicing/order queries
Supporting and ensuring all Company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to regarding commercial management of our clients and Sub-Contrators, including payment schedules, applications, certifications, variations, contract notices/conditions, etc.
Reviewing and challenging all 'Non-recoverable Costs' in terms of reasons how and why they have occurred
Reviewing and issuing Project Actuals to Project Managers for review
Continually monitoring projected costs to completion in line with budget with Project Managers, Contract Director and Commercial Director
Ensuring that any overdue retention that is due to us is kept to a minimum
Monitoring the team inbox and ensuring all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
Any other duties specified by the line manager

Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Products (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Etc)

Working Conditions
This role will be predominantly based in our Gloucester office; however, it may involve travel to site locations around the UK and may involve travel to Europe from time to time. Construction site locations will involve both inside and outside working environments and the employee will be required to use personal protective equipment.
