We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Commercial Assistant to support our team in a dynamic office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills and be proficient in various computer applications. This role supports Quantity Surveyors and the Senior Buyer in managing cost control, subcontractor procurement, valuation processes, and reporting across several live and upcoming residential projects.
Responsibilities
Assisting with raising orders & ensuring orders are returned signed with terms & conditions.
Assisting in producing and sending tenders
Inputting data into COINS & excel formats
Setting up draft templates for tender processing, orders, final accounts etc.
Managing invoices and assisting with invoice payments
Updating Commercial Trackers
Assisting with ensuring documents are filed correctly and our BOP and BOM processes are being followed
Assisting in producing information for monthly CVR meetings
Managing Dochosting access with suppliers
Producing schedules and template orders
Assisting in sourcing and setting up new suppliers
Receiving and dealing with site requisitions
Experience
Have the ability to generate professional correspondence unaided.
Have good communication skills and experience dealing with a variety of people through various communication methods including telephone, in person and emails.
Be articulate, clear and credible, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
You must be able to use Microsoft applications including Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
You must have GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
You must be eligible to work in the UK.
