Head Office based full-time commercial vacancy within a small, dynamic team near Maldon in Essex. Our company has over 50 years of experience in construction, specialising in civils and groundwork, and undertake a mixture of small subcontract projects and Principal Contractor projects up to around 5 million. The majority of our projects are based on higher risk and secure sites such as power stations, experience in this sector would be an advantage but not essential. Due to our clients and site locations the successful applicant would be expected to undergo DBS security clearance once employed. Please also be aware that, as our offices do not have public transport links within walking distance and site visits may be required, the candidate would need to have a full driving licence and own car.

Essential Experience - Minimum of 3 Years
Excellent IT skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Cost logging of incurred costs and evidencing with supporting documents
Applications for payment
Forecast to completion - cashflow forecast by period (initial and updating throughout project)
NEC3 contracts and requirements (Options A-E)
Submitting NEC3 communications - Compensation Events (and various clauses), Early Warnings, Technical Queries and General Communications
Client liaison to understand requirements and provide updates
Remote and face to face project meetings including providing input
Reviewing tender documents/packs
Compiling tenders and costings (as minimum assisting a Manager in this) - including supporting company/project information and assumptions/clarifications/exclusions
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for project requirements, cost information, SQEP information etc.
Compiling subcontracts and issuing purchase orders to suppliers
Understanding of CDM requirements and roles
Liaising with site based managers, supervisors and support staff
Preferred Experience
Microsoft Project
Meeting the requirements of and supplying evidence for external audits (HSEQ and commercial)
ISO 9001 and the standard's requirements
ISO 14001 and the standard's requirements
Raising invoices to clients
The job role will also involve other general admin duties as and when required which are shared between Head Office staff
