Job Description



The CBE will primarily focus on providing pro-active support to the Director and Senior Banker in the Commercial Banking Team. They will support the team with client acquisition and retention via client contact, but will primarily provide support in the preparation of lending proposals and support the growth aspirations of the Commercial business.

Key Responsibilities






Client service and Sales support




Main point of contact and accountability for clients in respect to their day to day banking Building and monitoring client relationships Supporting Senior Commercial Bankers in developing, growing and retaining their portfolio of real estate Commercial Clients, ensuring a quality of service is provided at all times whilst proactively managing a portfolio of clients and help Senior CommercialBankers achieve their targets Will be competent at identifying new sales opportunities Develop sales pitches, analysing client book to identify target clients' needs and attending client meetings to establish strong working relationships Manage account maintenance procedures - including account opening and account closing Initiate, discuss and complete Credit Applications on behalf of Senior Commercial Bankers. Opportunities to present to credit committee will be provided depending on ability Monitor the return of Facility letters, and completion of lending transactions in Flexcube, the Bank's loan administration and banking system Monitor, prepare and/or carry out annual credit reviews Monitor, prepare and/or complete annual client reviews - maintaining client files in the process Monitor, review and prepare drawdown recommendations for development loans following a review of Independent Monitoring Surveyor reports



General Administration





Preparing client communications Preparing account opening forms Responsible for keeping client records updated
Instigating and maintaining client files

Support the bank's Change & innovation agenda





Complete user acceptance testing of technology updates, new functionality & systems used in front office as required Input to change projects to give ideas, input and requirements as required


Compliance/Risk





Complete compliance regulatory exams (as required), adhering to both legal and regulatory requirements Ensuring money laundering/Know Your Customer procedures are implemented correctly and accurately Responsible for managing risks inherent to the role by diligently observing internal policies and procedures



Key Interfaces




Take ownership and support other Commercial Banking Executives Maintain excellent relationships with Private Banking, Wealth Planning, Operations, Treasury and Compliance Person Specification

Knowledge/Experience/Skill




Experience in Client Facing Roles Commercial banking and real estate finance experience Ability to provide a very high level of client service and at all times keeping the client at the heart of everything we do Detailed and demonstrable appropriate technical knowledge around all areas of Lending in real estate finance Detailed knowledge of regulatory requirements covering money laundering and criminal activity Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM system if preferable. Knowledge of products and services associated with the real estate sector Multi-tasking capability Ability to develop a network both internally and externally to mutually benefit the team and the Bank Ability to work under pressure, deal with a heavy workload and deliver against stretching deadlines

Qualifications


Relevant Banking qualifications. A good understanding of Banking Systems and be IT literate, and a high understanding of Microsoft Office Training will be provided where appropriate
