Actively contribute within the Portfolio Control Team, providing support to the first line and second line Teams, the Head of Portfolio Control Team, Business Manager and the Director of Transformation & Lending Management.
Review Procedure documents, making updates and improvements when efficiencies and best practises or regulation changes are identified.
Work closely with Commercial and Private Bankers and their Executives to ensure the growing lending book is well controlled and monitored.
Assist with the management of the Bank's Lending Portfolio under Government backed schemes.
Assist with the set-up of systems and procedures to assist the team and the wider Bank.
Support change initiatives within the Bank to represent Bankers and Executives
Assist with the requirement for testing of Bank systems when required
Key Responsibilities:
Risk Management
Assist Commercial and Private Bankers and their Executives in identifying and monitoring risk issues across the lending book
Help ensure that Bank risk appetite policy is adhered to.
Monitor covenants across the Commercial and Private Banking Teams
Act as control checker for covenants, recording, testing and reporting.
Develop and ensure that good MI is available for exposure levels and metrics for various lending sectors, to analyse, monitor and report on to Senior Management and Credit Risk.
Check reports completed within the Team before they are distributed to ensure accuracy and up to date.
Liaise with Credit Department/Credit Operations to ensure controls are effective.
Compile a list of outstanding Conditions Subsequent and maintain a log, advising Bankers when the Condition is due to be completed by, to monitor timely completion.
Identify and discuss training requirements for Bankers and Executives that have been identified through the interactions with Bankers.
Monitor record and distribute Company alert notifications for Bank clients to Bankers.
