Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial cleaning and janitorial services, ensuring that all areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness. This role is essential for creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for both staff and visitors. Children are considered vulnerable service users and it is absolutely imperative that the nursery is cleaned to the highest of standards to meet our high expectations . The successful candidate must have an exceptional eye for detail in ensuring they deliver and implement a thorough cleaning service.

Hours

Monday - Thursday: 3 hours 6pm - 9pm

Weekend clean can be flexible on either Friday, Saturday or Sunday (4-5 hours)

Responsibilities

Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including three child rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and communal spaces. Dust, hoover, mop and polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Clean glass panes on internal windows and doors Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations. Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and cleaning materials as needed. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel. Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistency in service delivery. Maintain cleaning equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for repair. Follow all safety protocols in relation to the opening and closing of the building.

Requirements

Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes. Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
