Lakes Speciality Foods & Ulverston Meat Company is a successful catering and retail butchery supplying valued customers throughout the North West.

Located in the beautiful town of Staveley, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented commercial cleaner to join our team. This role will primarily be based at our Staveley site, but there may also be opportunity to travel to our Ulverston site on occasion depending on company need.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in our commercial settings to meet and exceed all health and safety requirements. This includes thorough cleaning of the factory machines, which must be something you are competent at. You'll be thorough, efficient and meticulous in your approach and take pride and satisfaction in your work. This valued role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for clients, customers and staff alike.

Experience in commercial cleaning is necessary together with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

About the role...

Perform thorough cleaning of the Butchery and retail areas, ensuring the level of cleanliness complies with legislation Dismantling and cleaning the factory equipment Thorough cleaning of public areas and offices, toilets etc. as per the cleaning schedule Dispose of waste materials in accordance with health and safety regulations Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure consistency in service delivery Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary

About you...

Previous experience in commercial cleaning Experience of working in a food manufacturing area and ability to dismantle and clean our factory machines Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Ability to work on own initiative and in a methodical manner Good time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices Ability to lift and move heavy items as required during cleaning tasks A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent service
You will be required to wear correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), particularly when handling chemicals.
