Are you an experienced journalist looking to make your next career move into the fast-paced world of commercial content within the exciting food, drink and hospitality industry? Or perhaps you are a Commercial Content Editor looking for your next challenge?
We are looking for a Commercial Content Editor who will drive a new era of digital revenues across our hospitality brands including, but not limited to MCA, The Morning Advertiser and Restaurant. The role will work closely with our commercial, editorial and social media teams and will be responsible for commercial content projects from inception to delivery and reporting, creating engaging content that delivers for readers while also ensuring advertisers ROI is achieved.
What you'll be doing:
Working proactively in conjunction with the commercial team to generate fresh new content ideas, audience and revenue opportunities, and evolving our commercial content strategy
Researching, writing and editing commercial content and promotional copy
Participating in client calls and proposing enterprising content ideas to help win new business
Creating and controlling project schedules to ensure deadlines are met
Cultivating relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure a smooth delivery and experience
Monitoring and producing reports on the performance of client campaigns, in line with KPIs
Delivering post-campaign feedback to commercial and editorial teams and sharing best practices
Managing freelance editors, videographers and designers ensuring content is delivered in time and within budget
From time to time, interviewing clients face-to-face and hosting roundtables, podcasts and segments at events
Uploading content to the CMS and creating visuals for the website

What you'll need:
Strong, imaginative journalist with a proven record of researching and producing engaging, informative content, ideally with a B2B or hospitality focused brand
Proven experience working with clients to produce content that meets audience needs but delivers for clients, preferably at an in-house publisher or agency
Experience producing and delivering content in a face-to-face setting is desirable, but not essential
A creative mindset with great business acumen to problem solve, challenge and influence
Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with self-drive and ability to work at pace to tight deadlines and independently, whilst also having a strong commitment to collaboration
Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presenting skills with a proactive approach to engaging and networking with both internal and external stakeholders
Outstanding attention to detail
Knowledge and experience of MS Office, CMS and digital content creation (Arc XP, Short-Hand and/or Webvision is desirable)
Willingness to occasionally travel to clients and industry events
