We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to lead contract review, ensuring optimal commercial terms ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, whilst maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. This role focuses primarily on customer agreements, requiring exceptional commercial awareness, and the ability to balance risk management with business growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities



Contract Review & Risk Management



Conduct comprehensive reviews of contracts, NDA's, terms and conditions, and amendments Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks including liability, indemnification, and performance obligations Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and GDPR obligations Escalate high-risk or complex contractual issues to senior management and legal counsel

Relationship Support



Work closely with account managers and sales teams to facilitate smooth contract processes Provide commercial guidance during discussions and contract negotiations Address queries regarding contractual terms and obligations Support contract renewals and amendments to maintain long-term customer relationships

Documentation & Process Management



Maintain accurate records of all contract negotiations and final agreements Develop and update contract templates and negotiation playbooks Create contract summaries and risk assessments for internal stakeholders Ensure timely contract execution and proper filing of all documentation


Qualifications

Essential Requirements



Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, or related field Minimum 5 years' experience in commercial contract negotiations, preferably customer-facing Proven track record of successful contract negotiations with measurable commercial outcomes Strong understanding of commercial law, contract principles, and customer relationship management

Skills & Competencies



Excellent written and verbal communication skills for customer interactions Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pricing structures and business models Ability to interpret complex legal terms and explain them in business language Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office suite

Desirable Requirements



Professional legal qualification or contract management certification Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or B2B services sectors Knowledge of international commercial terms and cross-border agreements Previous experience working with enterprise-level customers Understanding of SaaS or technology service agreements
