Role Purpose:





The Commercial Coordinator is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of IChemE's range of existing and new commercial products and services, ensuring a positive member/customer experience and contributing to commercial growth. This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, training, events, publications and advertising.



The postholder will work as part of the Commercial team with individual and collective operational responsibility for product lines. You will also work as part of a team to develop additional commercial products and services.



IChemE commercial revenue currently accounts for approx. 5.5m/ (circa 50% of total business revenue), with ambitious targets for sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:



Organise and ensure successful delivery of training courses (face-to-face/online/on-demand, public/in-house)



Proactively respond to member/customer enquiriesManage venues/online platformPrepare course materialsSupport course trainers where required including accommodation/travel management and issuing contracts/statements of work.Prepare customer proposals for in-house and bespoke training coursesReview course feedback and make recommendations for further improvementsCreate innovative, new on-demand training courses using technical content prepared by subject matter expertsAdminister course content reviews to ensure training continues to reflect current thinking and good practice.

Organise and ensure successful delivery of live events



Proactively respond to member/customer enquiriesManage volunteer technical committees/judging panelsManage event sponsors/exhibitors ensuring delivery of all contractual benefits with a view to ensuring repeat businessManage key event suppliers (eg caterers, printers, audio-visual suppliers)Manage venue and serve as main point of contact between venue and the InstitutionPrepare event materialsWork as part of a team to oversee the on-site delivery of the eventReview event feedback and make recommendations for further improvements

Respond proactively to member, customer and supplier enquiries regarding other commercial products and services



Manage sales, subscription enquiries and access rights for a range of publications and contractsEnsure advertising sales are fulfilled and invoiced correctlyUpdate customer contact information on CRMManage additional volunteer committees where required to fulfill commercial products and services

The role will be based at our Rugby office.



This is a permanent, full-time role based on 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday.



Only candidates eligible to work in the UK will be considered.

Salary will be in the range of 24,000-27,000 per annum (depending on experience).
