ZERO HOUR CONTRACT

We are looking for flexible and reliable cleaners to join our cover team to help cover holiday and other absences as and when needed.

This is a zero hour contract, so some weeks, even months, there may be no work, however on others there may be work every day if someone is on a weeks annual leave for example.

We have various shifts which may need covering from time to time, including:

Various full day domestic cleaning shifts (week days 8am until 4pm)

Weekend commercial office cleaning shifts (Up to 7.5 hours to suit)

We are ideally looking for someone who could help us with any of these as and when needed.

Occasionally there may even be the opportunity to help with project works such as end of tenancy cleans if our regular team are unavailable, along with other opportunities as they arise.

You will not be required to assist with our property detailing and construction cleaning team.

We work through school holidays, however we do not work bank holidays.

We are closed between Christmas and New Year.

As a housekeeper/cleaner at Broomsticks Housekeeping Services Ltd, your role will be to carry out cleaning/housekeeping duties in a timely manner and to OUR high standard.

Exceeding client expectations at all times, and providing exemplary customer service - you will be an ambassador of our brand.

Working within our domestic/commercial teams under the direction of the company director, your objective will be to execute meticulous cleaning and housekeeping duties as specified on individual property checklists.

You will sometimes be working alongside our regular team

Key duties could include, but are not limited to:

- Thorough dusting, polishing and de-cobwebbing, moving and cleaning all items

- Thorough washing and cleaning of sanitary fittings including toilets, plugs, tiles and all washroom furniture

- Thorough washing and cleaning of kitchen areas including cupboard fronts, sides, and appliances with occasional cleaning of ovens and fridges

- Thorough vacuuming of floors and skirting, moving light furniture where possible, and getting behind heavier furniture using vacuum attachments where necessary

- Floor cleaning, using mop and bucket rigorously to remove dirt and grime

- Cleaning of interior windows

- Keyholding responsibilities

This job requires a very good level of energy and fitness, a very keen eye for detail and proactive and positive approach.

Previous professional cleaning experience is not necessary as full training of our methods and the use of products and equipment will be given.

It's more important that you are reliable, a fast learner, hardworking and take pride in your work.

We require all applicants to drive, be confident in driving, and have their own vehicle.

We will give you as much notice as possible of days of work available.

We already have numerous dates available for cover throughout August and September.
