Overview of role:





Incisive Media is an award-winning and leading B2B publishing company working in the financial and technology sectors, amongst others. We are publishers of award-winning magazines including Investment Week, Professional Pensions and Professional Adviser.





We are looking for a commercial editor to work on paid projects for our financial clients, which range from asset/wealth managers, pensions trustees and consultants, and financial advisers.





The role is varied and exciting as it involves working with clients to help them define their content needs and deliver projects - be it editorial-style articles for magazines or digital guides, copywriting for websites or infographic-based content, research survey reports and whitepapers, and even storyboarding content for videos and podcasts.





There really is no limit on the type of content we produce, and the commercial editor will help create content and manage the end-to-end delivery of design and promotion (alongside a wider team of designers and marketing experts).





In this role, the editor will be supported by a 10+ strong team of former journalists, editors, designers, video and marketing specialists. They will be offered autonomy to own the content creation process and carve out a project manager-style role for themselves in this hybrid journalism/marketing world of content creation.

Main responsibilities include:





Developing content solutions and marketing strategies for our financial clients - fund managers, wealth managers, financial advisers, pension trustees & consultants Develop interesting, engaging thought leadership content. This may include: researching specific areas (e.g. UK equities, fixed income, emerging markets) interviewing market experts in these sectors, writing long and short form content for print and digital mediums, storyboarding videos/podcasts Editing/proofreading content in print and online Working alongside our team of designers to help them create unique, engaging and innovatively designed content that resonates with the end users Manage projects on a day-to day basis AND client relationships. A key part of this job is ensuring we build strong relationships with the people we work with over the course of a project



What we value

Confident in communication with senior stakeholders at both Clients and Agencies. Must be able to write, edit and proofread copy for print/digital mediums Excellent ideas generation and an ability to work with the wider creative team to deliver innovative content solutions Excellent organisational skills - ability to prioritise a busy workload and juggle multiple projects is a must A great team player with excellent work ethic - our commitment to high standards is reflected in the quality of our work Must have written experience as a journalist/copywriting, marketing specialist or similar Knowledge of investment/pensions markets a requirement Previous content marketing experiences a bonus
