As our Commercial Estates Technician, you'll be using your technical experience, knowledge and skills to ensure Aster Group provides a safety first culture in respect of our workspaces and facilities.
You will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Estates Manager with the day to day function of technical maintenance and advice, to deliver a great facilities management service.
Your tasks will include:

  • Weekly fire alarm testing
  • Emergency light testing
  • Health and safety inspections
  • L8 water management
  • PAT electrical inspections
  • Supporting independent living schemes within your region, carrying out bi-monthly audits of the workspaces
  • General maintenance and minor repairs
Your responsibility will be for the workspaces in Hampshire and Wiltshire, but you may also cover other regions to support the wider team.
About you
You will come to the role with previous maintenance/trade experience, bringing your skills and knowledge of general maintenance and minor repairs. You may already hold an IOSH qualification or be working towards it.
You'll have a logical practical approach to work, considering health and safety at all times.
You'll be happy communicating with colleagues at all levels and will be confident using IT systems and equipment, including laptops and tablets.
You will be flexible in your approach to work, understanding that more support will be required at busier times and you'll manage your workload accordingly. You'll also be happy to work independently, taking responsibility for your workload.
As travel will be required for the role you will need a full UK manual driving licence, a company vehicle will be provided.
