Robert Half is working with a leading media and advertising group in Central London to recruit a permanent Commercial Finance Analyst into their expanding finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance analyst to own budgeting, forecasting, and commercial analysis at a senior level, delivering actionable insights that directly influence growth, acquisitions, and strategic decision-making across a dynamic media and advertising business.

?Y"S About the Position
Reporting into the Finance Director and supported by a Commercial Analyst, you'll take ownership of key financial planning, forecasting, and acquisition-related processes, producing high-quality analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Project managing the quarterly budgeting and forecasting process to ensure timely consolidation into the Group P&L for US reporting.
• Ensuring that the timing and phasing of upcoming releases are accurately reflected in forecasts.
• Collaborating with editorial, sales, production, and marketing teams to gather key data inputs.
• Producing comprehensive budget and forecast packs for presentation to UK senior leadership.
• Developing strong working knowledge of Hyperion Planning to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Reviewing and reporting on the financial performance of previous campaigns and releases to inform future commercial decisions.
• Preparing investment cases for new acquisitions and liaising with stakeholders across multiple departments.
• Creating draft P&Ls and scenario models for potential acquisitions, highlighting key commercial drivers.

• Part-qualified or finalist-level accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong commercial acumen with proven experience handling large and complex data sets.
• Excellent Excel skills and experience with financial planning systems.
• Strong analytical, forecasting, and financial modelling capabilities.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and present findings clearly.
