Angling Direct, the UK's leading omni-channel fishing tackle retailer, are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst/ Manager to be a driving force in our commercial finance function.

This role reports to the Head of Commercial Finance, and sits at the heart of the business. You will be working closely with trading, commercial, and senior leadership teams to optimise performance, build robust financial plans, and evaluate exciting new opportunities.

What You Will Do

Business Partnering:

Work with the commercial and trading teams to deliver reports, analysis, and insights that drive sustainable performance.

Systems & Technology:

Improve reporting and data accessibility by developing systems, dashboards, and tools that empower the business.

Planning:

Build budgets, forecasts, and scenario models that provide robust data to guide decision-making.

Projects:

Lead commercial finance projects that deliver strategic and operational outcomes.

Strategic Development:

Create and deliver financial models, board papers, and due diligence for opportunities like M&A, new markets, and business expansion.

What We Are Looking For
Qualified accountant (

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA

). Strong commercial mindset with the ability to quickly understand business drivers. Experience in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting -- ideally with

Power BI

. Advanced Excel skills (essential). Experience with

ERP systems (Epicor or similar), Power BI, SQL, and/or Python

a strong advantage. Curious, analytical, and creative problem-solver with a data-driven approach. Track record of meeting deadlines and managing shifting priorities. Experience in retail, supply chain, or consumer-facing businesses is highly desirable. Available to work at the

Rackheath Head Office for at least 4 days a week
