Job Description

As Lead of Commercial Finance, you will oversee all financial aspects of the business, focusing on driving profitability, value, and long-term financial stability. Acting as our Revenue Controller, you will ensure optimal financial performance through strategic planning, revenue management, cost control and financial forecasting.



You will have solid experience of how complex businesses are organised for success and have an ability to translate financial insights into projects and decisions.



Leading our established commercial finance team, You will partner with our multiple executives (other parts of Finance, Operations, Business Leads, Growth Leads, The People Team and the CFO and CEO) to report on and to influence performance.

What you'll do...

FP&A

Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual forecast / budget disciplines (P&L, B.S and CF) Ensure there is a rigour to all assumptions and that the business both understands and buys into these Ensure that the forecast is used to influence and lead value Ensure all risks and opportunities are known, quantified and managed Support the monthly interpretation and reporting to Group and within XD

Ensure there is focus on important goals

Partner with our Business Intelligence team to help the business unlock value from data analytics Use monthly operational meetings to focus on themes that emphasises on continuous improvement throughout the business and linking the team by team perspective to forecast Ensure real-time data is reliable, accurate and that routine reports are produced.

Develop a roadmap for evolving our main business tools

Work with the business to introduce new ways of looking at data and new routines. Work with our Senior Business Analyst to evolve how the different tools link together.

What you'll need to have...

A Finance or Business professional level qualification Experience of project or job cost accounting Experience in driving, engaging and influencing the wider business to emphasises continuous improvement throughout the business Deep experience of FP&A in complex organisations A solid foundation of working in a Finance department ( accounting knowledge - experience in the whole range of reporting and transactional activities including external and internal audits) Experience unlocking value from data analytics within a project-based environment High level of knowledge in matters of business across many disciplines Experience getting behind the strategies of businesses and providing competitive insights Experience taking the complex and making it simple!
