Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager, the position will entail;
Design, collect, process, analyse and deliver management information / business intelligence to enable quick and thorough insight into the state of the business driving commercial decision-making and allowing teams to easily and efficiently self-serve. To use data from a wide range of sources to produce business intelligence to enable a comprehensive understanding of the commercial environment and provide effective support to drive relevant commercial initiatives.

Key accountabilities
Design, integrate, analyse, and interpret data models and data to guide strategic decisions.
Create statistical models for key business concepts like pricing, risk and market.
Create reports, visualizations and dashboards to inform sales and management and highlight business performance.
Conduct detailed analysis of various sales, pricing, cost of goods and gross margin data to support business decision making.
Identify sales trends and areas for potential increased productivity/profitability.
Use advanced Excel skills to manipulate and analyse large data sets and providing commercial insight to stakeholders of all levels.
Communicate and present data to stakeholders.
Support the Commercial Finance Manager and Leadership team with the analysis of financial data to interrogate pricing structures and commercial opportunities.
Contribute to designated commercial and financial projects across the business.
To assist the financial reporting team with month end tasks, analysing costs, preparing accruals and prepayments and reconciling accounts.
To assist and cover for the Assistant Accountant to ensure daily/weekly deadlines are met.
Support the development of improved processes driving change where necessary to mprove efficiencies.
Essential Experience
Previous experience of approximately 2 years working within a finance and/or commercial finance role is
essential, with an ability to demonstrate proficiency in analytical skillset.
Understanding of basic accounting concepts.
Proven ability to manage tasks, timelines and deliver results based on pre agreed targets.
Even Better If..
You have experience in the manufacturing, distribution or retail sectors
You have experience using SAP or similar ERP system experience preferred.
Qualifications / Systems
AAT (full or part qualified desirable)
Able to use Excel to an advance level
Proficient user of MS Office including Word, Excel (advanced) and PowerPoint.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail with a systematic and methodical approach to work.
Reliable, flexible approach where needed and extremely motivated.
Deadline driven, accustomed to working in a changeable environment and very well organised.

The Candidate Experience
Applications will be paused on Monday 6th October, this is to enable a first sift of candidates.
The Hiring Manager will review CVs and successful applicants at this stage will be invited to a virtual informal interview with a colleague form HR that will last no longer than 30 minutes. These will take place on the 7th October 2025
If you make it through this stage, you will be invited to a virtual interview with the hiring manager between the 8th and 10th October.
The final stage interview will be held on site on Monday 13th October.
