Gas Service & Repair Engineer - Domestic & Commercial

A growing engineering firm is looking to hire experienced and skilled Gas Engineers to cover work across Lancashire, Cumbria, Manchester, and West Yorkshire.

The business specialises in both commercial and domestic gas, LPG, and oil systems. Work includes reactive maintenance, planned servicing, and project-based installations across a range of commercial and industrial settings such as pubs, restaurants, hotels, and warehouses.

This is a field-based role with regular visits to the head office situated between Blackburn and Preston. Duties will include installation of heating and hot water systems, system diagnostics, testing, and routine maintenance. Applicants with both domestic and commercial experience are preferred, though those with domestic-only qualifications who are keen to train in commercial systems will also be considered - full support and training provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation, servicing, diagnostics, and repair of gas boilers and central heating systems across multiple brands Electrical fault-finding and wiring of heating systems Working to strict safety standards and health regulations Maintaining professional communication with customers on-site Completing documentation and job reports accurately Collaborating with internal teams and working independently as required

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role Strong technical knowledge of gas systems (domestic and/or commercial) Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Confidence working on a range of heating systems Good communication and customer service skills Commitment to high standards of safety and professionalism

Essential Qualifications:

CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1 Full UK driving licence

Desirable Qualifications (but not essential):

COCN1, COMCAT, OFT105E, CONGLP1PD

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week (day shift) Overtime and weekend availability Participation in an on-call rota
