2. COMPANY STRUCTURE
2.1 The role reports to PPM Contracts Manager.
2.2 This role is part of the Maintenance Department.
3. SCOPE
3.1 To carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive callouts and minor projects on all associated equipment, general fault finding and repairs to assets and services
3.2 To maintain up to date records of all work carried out on plant and equipment within the site manuals both hard copy files and electronically
3.3 To participate within an out of normal working hours emergency call out rota and be flexible outside of core working hours
3.4 To maintain effective working relationships with colleague's clients, customers and work as part of the EWC Team Head of Mechanical Maintenance PPM Contracts Manager Mobile Maintenance Engineer all colleagues in the team HR-FM-XX Page 2 of 3 Revision 01
3.5 To deal courteously with clients, customers and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of EWC
3.6 To continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to customer care 3.7 To ensure clear communication with customers, line management and office support staff.
4. KNOWLEDGE
4.1 Minimum qualifications for this role are:
Must have completed a recognized apprenticeship in Gas/Engineering Services (mechanical). e.g.. NVQ level-3 certifications(E)

4.2 Fault finding, rectification and planned maintenance experience. (E)
4.3 Knowledge and understanding of commercial heating systems. (E)

4.5 Knowledge Skills Requirements: - Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation, Safe Systems of Work and contingency planning (E)
4.6 Ability to interpret from drawings, instructions and specifications (E)
4.7 Good communicator, verbally and written, and have a good level of computer literacy and working knowledge of IT systems and packages that include MSN Office, Outlook & Internet Explorer. (E)
4.8 Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions and resolve problems within clearly defined parameters. (E)
4.9 Substantial practical experience: - have experience of mechanical services, plumbing and heating maintenance on domestic/industrial/commercial systems.(D)
4.10 Also experience of mechanical maintenance and repairs. (D)
4.11 Enhanced DBS - Can be arranged (D)
5. SKILLS
5.1 Substantial practical experience required: maintenance in a domestic/industrial/commercial scenario.
5.2 Must have relevant mechanical qualifications.
5.3 To always present a professional image: onsite, in the office and to clients.
5.4 Ability to apply basic problem-solving skills to a variety of situations.
5.5 Full - Clean driving license that enables the person to drive in the UK. HR-FM-XX Page 3 of 3 Revision 01
5.6 Ability to establish good relationships with internal and external team members. 5.7 Good levels of verbal and written communication skills.
6. OTHER
6.1 The ability to travel to a range of sites.
6.2 Appreciation that there might be out of hours working, agreed in advance.
7. DUTIES
7.1 Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance
7.2 Responding to breakdowns
7.3 Diagnosing faults
7.4 Repairing equipment
7.5 Supervising engineering apprentices
7.6 Obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings
7.7 Maintaining accurate records
7.8 Ensuring compliance with company/health and safety legislation
7.9 Managing van stocks of supplies and equipment
7.10 Out of Hours Rota 'on-call' work
7.11 To develop an extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical building services and a good understanding of their interfaces with general building works associated with them.
7.12 To gain knowledge of the EWC employee's handbook, EWC policies and processes and EWC ISO system of works
