Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and reliable Commercial Gas Engineer to join our established FM team, working on a variety of commercial contracts within a 30-mile radius of PO9. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer who takes pride in their work, values strong customer service, and is looking to join a company that offers ongoing training and development.

Duties

Installation of commercial gas appliances and systems Pipework alterations and new installations (steel, copper, press-fit) General plumbing and heating tasks across commercial plant rooms and systems Excellent customer interaction on site Supporting planned and reactive maintenance teams as needeD Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics on gas systems to identify issues. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to ensure seamless project completion. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on site.

Key Duties

Install commercial gas appliances and pipework to current regulations Carry out PPM servicing Carry out general plumbing and heating installations Liaise with clients and site contacts in a professional manner Maintain accurate job records and documentation Ensure all works comply with Gas Safe, health and safety, and site protocols
The ideal candidate will possess:

Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role within the industry. Valid ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, etc.) Proven experience in pipework and commercial installations NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Full UK driving license Must be able to pass an Enhanced (Advanced) DBS Check Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various gas systems.

Essential Criteria:

ACS Commercial Gas (COCN1, TPCP1A, etc.) Experience with commercial plant rooms and associated systems Strong pipe installation skills (threaded, welded, press-fit) Customer-focused and solution-driven Full UK driving license Ability to pass and maintain an Enhanced DBS check

Desirable Qualifications:

-Unvented hot water LPG or OFTEC PASMA / IPAF / CSCS Air source heat pump
