Mobile Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer - Full-Time, Permanent

Location:

Sutton, Surrey (Covering London, Greater London & South of England)

Salary:

50,000 to 60,000 (Negotiable based on experience & qualifications)

An established Technical M&E service provider is seeking an experienced Mobile Multi-Skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within the commercial building services sector, delivering maintenance, reactive works, and new installations across a wide range of client sites.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, testing, and inspection of commercial gas and mechanical systems in line with industry standards. This role will involve planned and reactive maintenance, breakdown response, and minor installation works, ensuring all systems operate with maximum efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Test and inspect commercial gas and mechanical systems to required standards. Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across building plant and equipment. Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and complete remedial works. Implement corrective maintenance as per technical instructions. Deliver refurbishment works or minor new installations, including testing. Maintain accurate technical records and communicate effectively with clients.

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

Fully qualified and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer. Strong technical skills with excellent fault-finding ability. Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 points). Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Gas Qualifications (ideally held):

BMP1 - Boosters, low pressure. CCN1 - Core domestic gas safety. CDGA1 - Commission/service/repair of commercial direct-fired appliances. CIGA1 - Commission/service/repair of commercial indirect-fired appliances. CODNCO1 - Changeover domestic natural gas to commercial natural gas. CPA1 - Combustion performance analysis. ICPN1 - Installation of commercial pipework. TPCP1A - Testing & purging of low-pressure commercial pipework.

Desirable:

CORT1 - Commission/service/repair of commercial overhead radiant heaters. Familiarity with Home Office Security Vetting (SC) requirements.
