Commercial Gas Engineer / Plumber

MGM Contractors (formerly Malcolm G Moon Electrical) are seeking an experienced

Commercial Gas Engineer with a strong plumbing background

to join our growing team in South Wales.

With almost 40 years of expertise in electrical, gas, HVAC, and renewable systems, we are trusted by domestic and commercial clients, as well as social and private landlords and housing associations across the region. Requirements

You will hold one of the following Level 3 qualifications or equivalent certifications:

City & Guilds 6189 Plumbing and Domestic Heating City & Guilds 5962 Certificate in Plumbing (Advanced Craft) City & Guilds 6019 Mechanical Engineering Services City & Guilds 6018 Heating and Ventilation Installation City & Guilds 214 Engineering Systems Maintenance City & Guilds 6188 Heating and Ventilating City & Guilds 6088 Certificate in Heating and Ventilating City & Guilds 6032 Advanced Craft Certificate in Plumbing EAL Diploma in Plumbing and Heating (603/4028/9 or 600/8595/2) City & Guilds 6009/Q1014058 Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (Domestic) BPEC NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (600/6863/2)
In addition, the following certifications are essential:

COCN1 & CCN1 - Core Gas Safety certificates and relevant commercial units Unvented Water Heater Vessel Course G3
We are looking for candidates with:

At least three years' experience as a heating or combustion engineer Strong knowledge of Water Supply Regulations and Legionella L8 requirements Familiarity with Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated standards Experience with commercial catering gas appliances is beneficial L8 Legionella awareness training
