We are seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer/Manager to join our team, responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Commercial Gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to safety and compliance with industry regulations while delivering high-quality service to our clients.
Responsibilities
Assemble and install gas appliances, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.
Conduct routine maintenance checks and repairs on gas systems and appliances.
Plumb gas lines and ensure proper connections to appliances, including Testing and Purging of Gas Pipe.
Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for installation and repair tasks.
Perform welding tasks as required for specific installations or repairs.
Carry out heavy lifting using the correct equipment, when necessary, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including any parts used or issues encountered.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on-site.
Qualifications
Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in Gas Engineering or a related field.
Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and Gas related equipment.
Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during installations.
A valid driving licence is essential for transportation of equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting using the correct equipment, where necessary, as part of daily tasks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
