Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled commercial hard floor Layer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation and possess the ability to read and interpret schematics. This role requires proficiency in using both power and hand tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes.

Duties

Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas, ensuring precise dimensions. Install various types of flooring, including polyflor, safety floor C&C , lvt click and stick also hardwood for commercial use Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing surfaces prior to installation. Use power tools and hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting materials. Follow schematics and design plans to achieve desired layouts and patterns. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience as a commercial hard floor layer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong understanding of flooring materials and installation techniques. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency in using power tools (e.g., saws, drills) and hand tools (e.g., chisels, hammers). Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and perform manual tasks throughout the day. A valid driver's licence may be advantageous for travel between job sites.
