Overview
We are looking to recruit a Commercial (Legal) Graduate to join our Commercial Team. You will be working with members of the Commercial Team in (1) supporting the business contractually in collaborative opportunities, protecting its key assets; and (2) developing the extensive Intellectual Property (IP) portfolio which includes over 75 patent families.
The Commercial (Legal) Graduate will work alongside experts in Contract Law and Intellectual Property Law to prepare, review and negotiate a variety of transactional contracts and protect our Intellectual Property. These experts will train you in the various aspects of law and fusion-relevant science and engineering. The Commercial (Legal) Graduate will have the opportunity to work with many diverse teams across the company, and develop further relationships with external teams.
This role is an exciting opportunity for you to learn key commercial, contractual and legal skills whilst contributing to the success of Tokamak Energy and the wider fusion sector.

Requirements
In this role, you will work with colleagues from the Commercial Team to:
Learn about Intellectual Property Law and Contract Law.
Prepare standard contracts and learn to negotiate these
Monitor, review and triage queries from Tokamak Energy colleagues concerning contracts and intellectual property.
Using your knowledge of contract terms and relevance to the business, centrally capture key contract information from signed contracts for high level contract management and to provide contract briefings during handover of the signed contract to the relevant teams within Tokamak Energy.
Monitor and review communications from external patent and trademark counsel
Increase commercial awareness across the company.
Provide commercial guidance to other members of the business, particularly the Business Development teams.
