My Client are seeking a highly skilled and motivated

Commercial Litigator

to join their established team. The successful candidate will handle a broad caseload of complex commercial litigation matters, acting on behalf of a diverse client base that may include corporates, SMEs, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals.

Key Responsibilities:



Manage a varied caseload of commercial disputes, including (but not limited to) contract disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, and breach of fiduciary duty matters. Represent clients in High Court litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes including mediation. Provide strategic advice to clients on litigation risks, settlement options, and case prospects. Draft and review pleadings, witness statements, instructions to counsel, and other legal documents. Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments (e.g., corporate, employment, insolvency) to provide cohesive legal solutions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of case law and legal developments relevant to commercial litigation. Assist in business development initiatives and contribute to the team's growth through networking and client relationship management.

Key Requirements:



Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (ideally 3+ PQE, though all levels considered based on merit). Demonstrable experience in commercial litigation within a reputable law firm or in-house legal team. Strong drafting, advocacy, and negotiation skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously. A client-focused approach and the ability to provide clear, commercial advice. Commitment to business development and contributing to the firm's reputation in the market.

Desirable:



Experience in international disputes or cross-border litigation. Exposure to regulatory or financial services litigation. Familiarity with litigation funding arrangements (e.g., CFAs, ATE insurance).
