As we scale, we're looking for a dynamic
Commercial Manager
to join our leadership team and take ownership of NECIT's commercial performance, client engagement, and profitability.
ROLE PURPOSE
To lead and manage all commercial activities across NECIT.
You will own contracts, pricing, tenders, and key client relationships.
You will ensure commercial compliance, profitability, and strategic growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Strategy
- Develop and implement commercial plans to support company growth.
Contract Management
- Review, negotiate, and manage client contracts and supplier terms.
Tendering & Bids
- Lead and support tender submissions, pricing models, and bid evaluations.
Client Relationships
- Build strong, trusted relationships with key customers and partners.
Revenue & Margin Performance
- Monitor performance against targets, ensuring profitability.
Commercial Risk
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contracts, clients, and projects.
Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with technical, quality, operations, and finance teams.
Commercial Reporting
- Provide accurate reports to senior management on pipeline, performance, and forecasts.
Process Improvement
- Refine systems and processes to support scalable commercial operations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
You must be confident, commercially aware, and detail-driven.
Essential:
Minimum
5 years' experience
in a commercial or contract management role.
Experience within
engineering, testing, inspection, or related technical sectors
.
Strong
contract negotiation and review
skills (client and supplier side).
Experience managing
commercial tenders
, pricing models, and bid evaluations.
Excellent
financial awareness
, including revenue, margin, and risk management.
Proven experience in building
strong client relationships
and managing key accounts.
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting tools.
Full UK driving licence
- travel to client sites may be required.
Desirable:
Degree in
Business, Commercial Law, Engineering, or similar
.
Experience with
UKAS, ISO standards and regulated industry frameworks
.
Experience with CRM and contract management software.
Understanding of
NDT, Certification, or Inspection
service models.

SALARY & PACKAGE
This role offers a
competitive base salary
with significant performance-based incentives.
Base salary:
45,000 - 60,000 (depending on experience)
On-target earnings:
Up to
50%+ of base
in commission based on commercial performance and sales targets
Additional
bonus opportunities
linked to strategic deal wins, contract growth, and company profit share
