About Seashell Trust
Here at Seashell, we provide care and education for children and young people with severe, profound and complex learning difficulties and disabilities, sensory impairments and communication disorders, and autism. The Seashell Trust consists of the Outstanding Royal School Manchester, Outstanding Royal College Manchester, 17 residential homes, outreach, health and family services. Our services are all based on one site which really reinforces our fantastic sense of community.
We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Commercial Manager to join our Communication and Community Department. This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting Seashell's campus venue and facilities. You will coordinate on-campus events and manage front-of-house services to ensure exceptional experiences for clients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Market and promote Seashell's campus venue and facilities to potential clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for event requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams (Estates & FM, Sports, Fundraising, Marketing, Education and Care) to deliver seamless events.
Establish and manage a central booking system and support the implementation of Legend booking software.
Lead venue tours, prepare costed proposals, and manage event setup.
Develop marketing materials with the communications team.
Produce accurate income forecasts and financial reports.
Chair the Commercial Income Group and lead on commercial business development initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Seashell policies for all hirers and third-party providers.
About You
Experience in commercial management, business development, or event coordination.
Strong financial and budget management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Highly organised with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
