Job Description

On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Commercial Manager for a 12 month contract, hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office at Kings Cross, London and the remainder working from home.

As a Commercial Manager, your main responsibilities will be:



Monitor and ensure compliance with Network Rail's corporate governance, manage all commercial aspects of allocated projects (including cost reporting, forecasting, and risk identification), and provide proactive advice on change control and contractual matters. Lead the assessment, valuation, and certification of contractor applications and payments, challenge and audit costs, negotiate prices under existing contracts, and support both pre- and post-contract procurement activities. Produce and manage commercial correspondence, reports, and payment applications; deliver ad-hoc management information; support project close-out and final account settlements; and drive continual improvement through cost analysis and feedback.

End to end procurement experience Team player with the ability to work independently Strong knowledge of regulations, public procurement policy/act Network Rail policy and systems knowledge
